Impa Kasanganay is keeping a positive attitude after suffering the first loss of his career.

The previously unbeaten middleweight ended up on the wrong end of one of the most amazing knockouts in UFC history after being caught with a leaping spinning kick to the face by Joaquin Buckley at UFC Fight Island 5 on Saturday.

Kasanganay’s frightening fall was just as memorable as the maneuver itself, but fortunately it sounds like he isn’t faring too badly in the aftermath. He shared a message on Instagram later in the evening, complimenting Buckley and stating that he’s looking forward to fighting again.

“[Buckley], God bless you,” Kasanganay wrote. “It was an honor to step in the octagon with you and to do what I love. Safe travels to you and your team. Beautiful shot. Way to fight.

“I will improve. To the UFC and all staff members thank you for making Fight Island a possibility. You are a top-notch organization. I know the best is yet to come. God is great and He has never failed me. Never will. He’s so faithful. I look forward to to the opportunity to getting back into the Octagon. Back to work. God bless you.”

Prior to Saturday’s loss, Kasanganay started his pro career with eight consecutive wins. He defeated Maki Pitolo by unanimous decision in his UFC debut in August.
