Darren Till tests Tyson Fury’s sprawl in training session

If Tyson Fury is making a move to MMA, he could do worse than Darren Till for some guidance.

Till, a newly minted UFC middleweight, held pads for the boxing champ in footage released by MTK Global, which manages both fighters.

Wearing UFC gloves, Fury is put through his paces with elbows, knees and sprawls as Till barks out orders. Fury looks pretty light on his feet for an MMA neophyte, and his power is evident in Till’s reactions.

Fury, who holds the Super WBA, IBF, WBO, IBO and The Ring titles in boxing, has shown himself willing to venture outside his primary sport, or at least entertain the idea. The champ has chirped at current UFC heavyweight champ Stipe Miocic, and recently, he reportedly enlisted UFC star Conor McGregor to train him for a move to MMA.

Fury also welcomed a fight with UFC heavyweight Francis Ngannou – after he’s retired from boxing.

UFC President Dana White has been less than encouraging about Fury’s interest in MMA. The executive has questioned why Fury would want to move into a new sport late in his combat sports career. Although he anticipated many possible matchups, he predicted Fury would “get smashed” in the octagon.

After a win over Otto Wallin in September, Fury made big bucks to step into the pro-wrestling ring for a match against Braun Strowman at WWE Crown Jewel in October.

Till is one week removed from a successful move to 185 pounds. The 26-year-old U.K. native outpointed onetime title challenger Kelvin Gastelum at UFC 244 to snap a two-fight skid that included a brutal knockout loss to Jorge Masvidal.
