Combate Americas’ Copa Combate 2 card finalized

The card for Combate Americas’ second annual tournament has been finalized.

Two alternate bouts for the one night, eight-man featherweight tourney complete the Copa Combate 2 line up that’s set for Dec. 7 at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, Calif. The promotion recently announced Michael Irizarry vs. Pablo Sabori and Joey Ruquet vs. Rudy Morales as replacement matchups in case tournament competitors are forced to withdraw or unable to continue.

The Copa Combate 2 grand prize is $100,000. The winner of the tournament will have to win three bouts in one night. The quarterfinal bouts are one five-minute round; the semifinals and final bouts will be three five-minute rounds.

Combate Americas has yet to announce the tournament brackets, but expects finalize them sometime this week.
