Bellator 244 post-event facts: Roy Nelson’s career-worst skid hits five fights

The final Bellator of August went down on Friday with Bellator 244. The card took place inside the “Fightsphere” at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.

A new light heavyweight champion was crowned in the main event. Vadim Nemkov (12-2 MMA, 5-0 BMMA) ended Ryan Bader’s (27-6 MMA, 5-1 BMMA) unbeaten run in the promotion and dual-weight class reign with a brutal second-round TKO.
